14th Faculty & staff annual retreat

Event sponsored by ISREC Foundation

The 14th Faculty & Staff retreat of the SCCL will be an on-site only event and will take place at the Campus BioTech in Geneva on November 24 & 25, 2025

Registration to the retreat is limited to people from the institutions represented in the SCCL and a few external people invited by the organising committee (i.e., academic partners, foundations, sponsors).
The presentations, posters and discussions during the retreat will only be available to people who have registered and should not be posted on social media.
We would like to emphasize that considering the increasing size of the SCCL retreat audience:

  • confidentiality cannot be ensured by the organisation and those submitting abstracts shall take this into account.
  • abstracts will be selected by the organizing committee. A submission does not imply on automatic selection.
  • to best represent to diversity of research topics in the SCCL, at most one abstract per group can be submitted for a short talk and the selected abstract should be approved by the PI. The other abstracts will be presented as posters.
  • we aim at more diversity in session chairs and encourage PhD and post-doc interested in chairing a session to mention it in the registration form.

This year’s retreat will feature Pr Dirk Busch, Director of the Institute of Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene at TUM – Technische Universität München, Germany.

We will also have a social event on the evening of the first day.

The registration fee is CHF 100.-.

Standard registrations will open on September 08 and will remain open until November 15.
Due to the venue space, we have a cap of 270 participants this year.

Abstract submissions will open on September 08.
